RawCrabMeat
Pouring snow, but how much longer do we have?
John1122
Even though it feels like it's not going to do much more here, MRX added me to the Winter Storm Warning and says up to 5 inches. Here's to hoping.
EastTNWeatherAdmirer
Rates really, really picking up now nicely over Hamblen county, probably .75''-1'' in/hr rn. About 1/4''-1/2'' on deck within minutes. Flake size has slightly decreased to penny size but intensity is considerable. Temp 33.4. From radar it appears the surface low is tilting even more negatively than expected, this suggests East TN will try to hang onto these bands for a bit as moisture is pumped north. Also the ULL feature near Chat could back build once it hits the mountains, and could create a wave, just a thought at this time though if low insists on getting out of here to the west fast.
Dsty2001
Transition to all snow Greeneville (BIG FAT FLAKES), once the temp hit 38 it dropped like a rock. Currently at 34.7 and rapidly dropping

dwagner88
No go for most of Hamilton county and Chattanooga. Cut offs were Signal to the West and White Oak Mountain to the East. Better luck next time.
TellicoWx
Picked up 1.5" so far, little melting and compaction happening as well.
BuCoVaWx
Not completely switched over here yet. Seems to be more flakes than earlier, just mixed with heavy rain. Doesn't look like too good for accumulations here. According to Charleston was supposed to switch at 1 am. Only 3 hours late :(
Jeff Co Vol
Lying in bed listening to a torrential rain hit my metal roof and suddenly at about 3:48 a.m. it went quiet. I got up to check and it was about an 80/20 snow/rain mixture with huge flakes. Less than 5 minutes later it was basically all snow. I have never witnessed that before - it was almost instantaneous.

tnweathernut
Radar shows all rain here in north Johnson City. I can confirm we are now at least 50/50 snow/rain/mix. No accumulation yet.

Jed33
Wow I went to bed at 12:30 just woke up to a winter wonderland! It’s absolutely ripping right now. I’d say we have close to 1.5-2in on grassy areas! Visibility is pretty close to 0. Awesome!
EastTNWeatherAdmirer
Flakes are about Nickel size now but absolute gangbusters with the rates and intensity. Reduced visibility, Roads are now completely snow covered at least on the south side of Hamblen County. Up to around 2” and going up fast

fountainguy97
Pivot band setting up over eastern areas. Should be 2-3 hrs of crazy rates. Just hit 32. Everything covered. hrrr says additional 6-7. We will see how much ground truth we get!

jrips27
We are over 7” now at 2900 feet near Gatlinburg. Here was about an hour ago. I’m celebrating my 25th birthday today so had to snow chase. It’s been awesome. Enjoy everyone 4
Holston_River_Rambler
Ended up with about half an inch here in Morgan County. Congrats to all those east and northeast!
Jed33
Looks like it’s winding down for me. I ended up with around 3.5in. A nice event for sure. During the height of the snow around 4:30-5:30 the road in front of my house did get covered but as rates tapered off, it melted pretty fast there. It’s pretty well preserved everywhere else though, and the trees are beautiful! It’s sure been a fun system to track!
Wurbus
I wound up with about 2 inches on the deck. Road was slushy and lightly covered earlier, but has mostly melted once it tapered off. Still enough to cause a tree to fall somewhere in the neighborhood and shook the house this morning.
Holston_River_Rambler
A couple of pics from my area: Obligatory deck pic: Have to head into to Knoxville for a dental appointment, so will be interesting to see how it played out from here to there.
Icy Hot
Colonial Heights never got cold enough. Snow is winding down and temp just now hit 32. Though it snowed very hard for several hours, we only have a dusting.
