Going to bed for now, but starting to remind me of the February 7th event here in Crossville. We were under a WWA for 1-3" in that one as well and ended up with around 6-8" of heavy wet snow at daybreak. Hopefully that happens again because it's still pouring down. We probably have 3-4" now and an inch or two on the roads.

I knew the NWS was making a mistake not issuing a Winter storm warning there.

Supposedly they debated it this evening right as it started snowing, but never pulled the trigger. Seems like anymore here we get the worst storms under WWAs and the WSWs almost always way underperform here.

Finally started raining steadily her.  Wind is blowing.  It may be raining, but it is cold out there.  Any southwest Virginia folks seeing a changeover?

Well, nothing too notable just yet but I did just notice the rain is starting to sound awfully clicky haha

The last few frames of the correlation coefficient radar show it starting to accelerate, esp. from NW to SE. The ring around MRX radar site is getting smaller as the snow elevation drops.

Interesting!  It seems our winds our from the NNW/NW right now and the temperature is dropping fast enough I can refresh the local weather station and see it going down lol

Just stuck my head outside to get a feel for things. It’s 35 with wintry mix (bit of everything), and the spring peeper frogs that emerged during our insanely warm December are croaking for mates. Poor things.

When the mix started here the temp fell a fast 3 degrees in a few minutes. It's went down about 1.6 more since.
