Shocker0
TWC Doesn't show the changeover at my house until around 11pm, but it's been all snow here as of 9:30 CT. Which is good if it stays that way because the heaviest returns look to arrive during the 10pm hour in Crossville so better to be snow than rain. dwagner88
The CC line is actually stalling out over the plateau. It is struggling to make progress east after really racing over the last hour to get to that point. That’s surprising.

Maybe the precip is harder here causing Dynamic Cooling? My temp also shows 35 lol. But my gauge is usually off a couple degrees. Mine could be off too , it was my Papaw's , but the wind has picked up considerably and that may be why. Snow is really increasing , and it's not showing on the radar
*Flash*
Currently in Spring Hill on the Maury county side. Solid returns over 1.25–1.5”. Beautiful!
8283 El Nino Baby
It went from rain to snow in minutes here on the plateau near spencer. I have never lived in snow, but the flakes are like quarter size and I show a half inch on the ground after 20 minutes. 2

RawCrabMeat
That is a TIGHT gradient in Blount (+ SE Knox) on the latest MRX map, looks like maryville-east 4-6" with a 20min drive west on 321 showing 2-3" .. interesting also did anyone notice the color shift on the update... threw me off for a second thinking they lowered it lol

And once it starts I don't see it going back to rain esp with the heavier rates coming.

dwagner88
CC transition line remains stalled out along a line from Scottsboro, AL to Dunlap. Temperatures even on the plateau east of there are above freezing, but barely. The Sequatchie valley is acting as a very effective snow shield ATM.

In knoxville the temp has fallen from 47 to 41 at my house the last 40 min so some progress is taking place here.
fountainguy97
I think the entire valley is going to basically flash over change at the same time. Can see the CC wrapping around in a circle around KMRX. Probably still a couple hrs from any switching. Hrrr has me switching between 3-4am going to try my best to get a couple hours of restless sleep before haha
Stovepipe
I appreciate all of the obs posts and analysis. I'm currently in south knox about 2 miles from downtown. Hanging around 40 degrees. I reckon I'm gonna have to stay up for this one. Seems too good to be true!
