Yeah it's nowcast time and the models add less incremental value. Knowing climo is why I'm so cynical in KCHA.

We have a nice baroclinic leaf on both satellite and radar. It's not moving terribly fast either, since we are still pre-pivot. Except for Chattanooga proper, I think all systems are go. Signal and Lookout will definitely have snow.

Last post of the night. Best to all!

1000% agree....good example is the 01z HRRR, apparently inhaled some of the crack fumes from the 0z NAM for mby

Yes, pretty similar! I know they don't offer a whole not now, but it is encouraging that the trends are going up as opposed to down for sure. Seems like opposite is more of the norm.

Have spent a lot of time out West.  Warm ground temps rarely stop heavy snowfall from accumulating.

I know, I am just laughing at the posts on Facebook saying "Grounds too warm" for anything to stick.  People apparently have short memories

Snow and sleet mixed coming down temperature is 32

That's weird, you're a little west of me and maybe slightly higher elevation so I figured you'd be all snow before me. Maybe the precip is harder here causing Dynamic Cooling? My temp also shows 35 lol. But my gauge is usually off a couple degrees.
