1234snow
WPC post the Surface Analysis, spc post when ever they think is warrantSorry, I should of clarified in my question. I was curious as to the last time that had happened for our forum area. As in severe meso one day then winter meso the next from the SPC.
nrgjeff
Yeah it's nowcast time and the models add less incremental value. Knowing climo is why I'm so cynical in KCHA. We have a nice baroclinic leaf on both satellite and radar. It's not moving terribly fast either, since we are still pre-pivot. Except for Chattanooga proper, I think all systems are go. Signal and Lookout will definitely have snow. Last post of the night. Best to all! 7

I know they don't offer a whole not now, but it is encouraging that the trends are going up as opposed to down for sure. Seems like opposite is more of the norm.

dwagner88
The changeover line has reached the Franklin/Marion county line per CC. I’m expecting it to rocket across the plateau then stall for a while at the valley. All of the above should happen in the next 1.5-2 hours.

I know, I am just laughing at the posts on Facebook saying "Grounds too warm" for anything to stick. Silas Lang
Just curious: does the cold rain actually help with the ground temps? Seems like it would, but I don't know.

John1122
It's absolutely pouring here. We are going to have flooding with snow on it if we actually get the change over and get anything. After watching the MRX video, not sure if I actually get anything frozen or not really.
dwagner88
Very heavy rain. The temperature has now dropped 33 degrees in just over 24 hours and 21 degrees in 8 hours.

dwagner88
Crazy reflectivity in NE Alabama. Looks to be rain, but it’s very close to the changeover line. Dual Pol isn’t indicating much sleet in north Alabama. Seems to be all snow or all rain.

Maybe the precip is harder here causing Dynamic Cooling? My temp also shows 35 lol. But my gauge is usually off a couple degrees.
