dendrite
Euro still going wild with the cold early next week, but I bet it moderates a bit by then. The euro has a tendency to go bonkers on cold shots in the extended.

CoastalWx
Things still look pretty good I would say. After we go through a little flux later in the 6-10 day (which may have some storminess) it looks pretty sweet after. Luckily that has not changed.

I had 7 of them in those couple of weeks in late Dec 17 into early 18.

We almost got one yesterday with 24-hr max of 11F. It’s crazy how cold the last two days have felt despite it being fairly routine January fare. Body gets used to endless highs in the 30s. ORH had a high of 1F. Had to go back to 1994 to get that. Even Jan 2004 didn’t beat that.

I wasn't here in 2004, but CON had back to back 0F highs so I'm sure it would've been like -3 to -4 here.

SnoSki14
Hopefully everyone scores big next 2-3 weeks. Looks like a pattern change to much milder is likely after the 20th. 1

BuildingScienceWx
Ice covered here. Sander just went down my street, it looked like a shiny ice rink prior. Already had one accident with one of our work vans. Temp slowly moving up, 30.8F here now.
