Easy to state as it is NOWCAST. But the little bugger always had the potentail to overachive.
It snowed as far S as Pensicola FL. When all is said and done the hills of VA. WV. will find a jack.

Doesn't really seem like an overachiever relative to modeling. Guidance was locked and loaded for that area (once it caught on) almost 2 days ago. But I guess it seems like an overachiever relative to expectations considering recent warmth and recent history.

im not expecting any accumulation being on north side of cape. maybe some flakes.. 1-2 for the islands?

radar looks like it's eroding as it hits the wall of dry air..as modeled

if you loop the radar on the nws site you can almost see a line stretching from south of the cape south of LI to central NJ guessing thats the northern extent of where precip is falling right now

Anyone down in Westport area? All morning a strip of snow was around there. Still virga here wirh an occasional flake here and not expecting much of anything just saw that snow finally pushed over Long Island

WST hasn't reported snow all day. IT looks like it's trying to make a push though in the next hour or two.

DC area getting crushed. Lots of 9-12 reports so far. Highest on there is 13.4. I knew those 3-6/4-8 WSWs last night were way too low. Most of the warnings today are 5-10/6-12/8-14 in that area.

Take a look at the Google maps traffic down there. So many roads/highways are completely closed down.
