ROOSTA
Easy to state as it is NOWCAST. But the little bugger always had the potentail to overachive. It snowed as far S as Pensicola FL. When all is said and done the hills of VA. WV. will find a jack.

Guidance was locked and loaded for that area (once it caught on) almost 2 days ago. But I guess it seems like an overachiever relative to expectations considering recent warmth and recent history.

Go Kart Mozart
I am in Westport, CT, today. Radar shows it is snowing aloft...but it must be quite high. The sky has a textured look, not the typical virga look of joint compound after it has been smoothed with a big taping knife.

That's exactly what my sky looks like right now. Zero snow flakes so far. Not expecting anything other than; perhaps, some flurries later today. The 4 Seasons
DC area getting crushed. Lots of 9-12 reports so far. Highest on there is 13.4. I knew those 3-6/4-8 WSWs last night were way too low. Most of the warnings today are 5-10/6-12/8-14 in that area.
