StormchaserChuck!
Ooo I like this, do these setups ever work out? These things trend SW (northern energy), so it might even be the later piece that hits

NorthArlington101
Could Thursday possibility leed to a long duration event with a small break Friday as follow up wave Saturday Sunday drops the hammer ? .I think that’s how the models originally depicted the event a few days ago — looked like the NAM was gonna pull something similar off for the southern parts of the subforum. LP08
Eh....The ICON left more energy in the SW than 18z. Good for the south eastern part of the forum.

nj2va
Even if the ICON showed a flush hit, I’d still ignore it. Same with the NAM (which sht the bed for this weekend’s event).

Obviously there’s more s/w energy held back from 18z…
WinterWxLuvr
Guys medium range forecasting is easy. You simply ride the snowiest model and if it doesn’t happen you just claim that it was bad luck, highly unusual outcome and then start talking about the upcoming pattern and how there will be lots of chances. 3

I got the sense people were hoping the gfs would move more toward the euro than it did but your right no one said such thing. There are improvements on the gfs at h5 which is a positive. It may not get to where we want it, but it has been trending toward the Euro.
