Hard to believe it's down to the last ten days of January and needing a hail Mary pass for a significant snow system. Where the heck did the last two weeks go?

Still above normal snowfall and below temps here in Chester County so far here in January....not too shabby if you like cold and snow!

Best place for the spring run imho.....Cape May. Fish Bayside April thru early May and catch em up. Then move to beachfront  during the migration in early May. I've caught them off the beach as late as the end of June before. Looking forward to short and tee shirt on the beach though so I hear what you're sayin.

Bait and wait or lures? I tried bait and wait in Cape May but it was too late since the horse shoe crabs were around.

I bait and wait in the spring. Bunker or clam. Some guys have luck with those Daiwa SP Minnows. I go to lures in the summer for flounder and weakfish. Then carry over the plugging into the fall. And yeah, those horseshoe crabs suck when they r thick.

Is this you?

I just booked a flight to go to FL next weekend. I would prefer it does not snow that day.

Made it to 49F.

Don't look now but the NAM just took away the SE snowstorm this weekend. Who knows if it's on to something. But if it is, it's another reminder not to get too invested in anything beyond 36-48hrs this winter.

pretty sure the NAM hasn't shown the weekend system as impacting us the entire time its been in range....so not sure how it "took it away"
