Several models are doing this now…. I take what I can get, but still this overall regime so really resisting going full on snow mode. I’m seeing hints of a pattern change toward that…. But nothing more.

Yeah, everything has to be taken with such a grain of salt. The models and the pattern have been rather ugly for exciting/substantial snowfalls. Sort of "don't really accept it until it's actually happening" these days. Hopefully we can work towards a better outcome than what the 0Z runs are showing for almost all of us this New Year's weekend.

The 00z runs were a boost for the near term treat, but they eroded the signals for a big one next week didn’t they.

Here come a week's worth of isobaric orgasms over minimum central pressure output, which will attempt to drown out the elephant in the room being that an unimpressive amount of snow will fall where most people live. But hey, Hogscrotum Bay in downeast Maine reads an impressive baro!

Wonder how high the tides will be at Marriedmycousin Light-

Gonna need a strong cutter to melt it up here. The positive 850 anomalies this weekend resulted in a net gain of over 3”.

And another 1-2 tonight?  A bit more mixed Thursday?  And then a question mark but probably at least somewhat frozen as the new year starts?  That’s a solid pack that one 6-10 inch storm makes very nice
