It was interesting reading that I thought I'd share with you all for possible further discussion and maybe research. Matthew-Northern Italy Posted August 25, 2022 Share Posted August 25, 2022 Yea, between january and february 1709 it was the only occasion in which "my" Lake Garda, the largest in Italy, froze completely; in other severe winters (like 1929, 1963 or 1985) we have had at most a few frozen bays and ports.
