Channel 3’s snow forecast. Channel 9 is slightly more conservative bringing the heavier snow up into Oswego County and mixing into the Syracuse area.

Channel 9 got burned on a bunch of these type events last year where models showed snow then it ended up raining most of the time and we were lucky to get 2-4" of slop. I get the feeling this will bump north at game time and we'll be in rain.

You guys ready for an insane stat? The low today at Buffalo was 57 degrees. The average high for Buffalo today is 37 degrees.

64/57 was the high low today. The normal for the day is 37/26

MIND BLOWING stats

Honestly I’m tired of it. The actual season I love the most is being ripped to shreds more and more each year. The variability in our weather is what made this area so complete. It’s getting a bit depressing to know we’re not going back to the days we all loved and most likely why we started to love weather.

With the cold front past KBUF the low for the day will be set right before midnight. It is already down to 52 as of 9 PM.

Not including today's temperatures, since they aren't finalized yet, KBUF would need to average 35.8 or warmer for the remainder of December for 2021 to break 2012's record for warmest year.

You taking the over or under on that?

Yup...it's been a freaking furnace here. AND, we'll have yet another ridiculously warm "high" coming in for December 17th since the front took its time getting here and it's still in the mid 50s overnight. We've had so many of these overnight high temperatures the past couple years. It's insane. The climate doesn't seem to care about nocturnal effects these days.

I wouldn't call 4 to 6 inches "gang busters." But...you've had like an inch of snow this year, so I'll let it slide...as it's understandable...

Going to take the under, think we finish 3rd/4th for warmest years.
