Only about 1/2" of snow last night, but it stuck to everything, including roads.  cny_rider, bike ride this morning?

I have the day off so no commute to work.  But I probably would have had to drive.  It looks slick in front of our house.

Were the ground frozen this would be a fantastic day for fat bike riding on the trails.

But it's all so muddy now.

Got a coating here. Naturally, the band sat south all last night and then flew through here just to settle and sit just north. Lol

At least there is a little white.

Another band is forming just south of you so you might get into the action yet.

Eventually a surface low will develop on the cold front as the mid-
level trough becomes negatively tilted and closed off over the
region/Ohio Valley/Mid-Atlantic Monday. The location of the surface
low will be highly dependent on the mid-level trough and dictate,
winds, precipitation, and etc. While the exact specifics can`t be
nailed down as of yet due to subtle differences between 00Z model
runs, am fairly confident that this system will set up as ensemble
models are beginning to point out the trough and surface low as
anomalous.

i logged 0.1" snowfall.  Seems more than a "T" but hardly worth measuring.  0.06" liquid melted, 0.19 of straight rain FWIW.

Yes, I see that. Looks a little more cellular, with breaks between, so might be more hit or miss.

It was fun watching the gigantic flakes falling at 6:30 this morning. Even covered the roads for a bit.

I don’t see many of these working. Relying a northern stream development at the last second never works. The models always like them but I can’t remember a single LP that cut across the lakes to develop in the NE that was good for WNY. All our good ones start south or south west.
Obviously (I think), we get something but I hope it doesn’t look like these.

Wow, definitely a more inland event. Jamestown, Almond, and Wellsville aren't the normal winners.
