I think it’s almost all elevation/inversion. The stations that aren’t on the Tyson’s “ridge” were down in the 30/31 range. The ones that are were in the 35/36 range. When I walked down the hill to drop the kid off at school it looked like a different world, and that is like a block away.
WinterWxLuvr
The next week looks amazing. Really want to enjoy this. Might be a good time for a “sick” day.
Herb@MAWS
Third straight morning low of 34° IMBY. Put to shame by BWI, which came in at 29°.

Yeah, at 3100' I'm high but low so we do well in town on still nights. I'm sure the ridges here were several degrees warmer.
WinterWxLuvr
KOKV has not reached 50 since Monday. That’s pretty impressive for early November

NorthArlington101
Went camping last night (a mistake, brrr) but the frost down outside Richmond made it look like the first snowfall of the season. #worthit

MN Transplant
Almost comical at this point. 35.6 for my low. Even DCA in the river went lower. I know I talk about it occasionally, but the elevation/cold air drainage/inversion thing is amazing. This is my frost-free backyard with an extremely frosty soccer field in the background. The difference in elevation is ~30’.
Herb@MAWS
After the past 3 mornings with a low of 34 IMBY on east side of Columbia, bottomed out at 31.9 Saturday morning -- so bring on Indian Summer!
CAPE
32 for a low. Hit freezing finally. No killing hard freeze in the immediate future here. The new grass looks great. A cool season grass isn't going to go dormant this time of year outside of getting some anomalous cold period.

EastCoast NPZ
23F for the low. That's it for the grass. My experience is that 24F is needed to put it to sleep at this point in the year.

WxUSAF
Weather this week has been hard to top for November IMO. Full sun with temps in the 50s and lows in the 30s. Great football weather today and tomorrow.
BlizzardNole
What a beautiful afternoon with sun and mid-50s now. With that weird noreaster-like storm in the SE, Lake City in north FL right now is rain, windy and 45 degrees
WEATHER53
Talking to my brother In law who moved to Thurmont last year. He talked about an Old Mink Farm place that he says is like 1,600’ elevation. Last night said it was 27 by midnight and high for the day was 48. I did not think those mountains were that high? Anyone else familiar?
