Clipper low and associated upper system drop southeast through the Midwest and to the Mid Atlantic coast, then moves out to sea. Forecast guidance suggests a dry passage for New England. Certainly, the GFS is dry. However, the ECMWF shows measureable precip along CT- RI-SE MA Sunday night and Monday. The forecast remains dry, but with low confidence. I am of the belief that this is an error, and the models will correct more amplified with the low due to the 500 mb pattern being modeled. There is blocking in place as well, which ups the ceiling if things do break right. I respect the gumption. And I agree with you about the ridge positioning, that's a good point. Feels like we still have about 3-4 days to go before we start worrying about anything other than H5 configuration.
