One of my things is that I can't leave snow on the driveway.  Some people are ok with the lines of snow from the snow blower or car tracks.  It drives me crazy.  I have to clear it completely edge to edge, even it's going to be melted by the next day.  Probably explains why I'm on a weather forum too.

I'm crazy about keeping the snow in my yard pristine and always have been. When I was a kid, I used to get pissed at my little brother when he wanted to romp around in the new snow.

If I have to upgrade to a gas powered snow blower I’m hiring a service.  Pain in the ass and not to mention pollution.   How would you like to live next door to the guy running his blower on your only day off of the week?

Call me crazy, but I love the metallic smell of the snow, coupled with underlying fumes of gasoline as the drone of snowblowers takes over the neighborhood after a good storm.

Lol. Exactly the same. I had to bite the bullet when the girls ripped it up sledding over the years . Sometimes had to look away

And I love snow blowing after dinner when the storms winds down, I put the garage lights and driveway lights on and go to town. Usually it's still light snows when I'm doing it. Looking forward to the next biggie.

Lol. You would swear angrily at me. I snowblow most of my front lawn so I can drive my snowmobile trailer through instead of dicking around backing it in. The rest ends up looking like a groomed trail. In the back, I make big paths for my dog.

Well, it technically took last winter off right? :P

That John Deere doesn't owe me anything though, It mows all summer long and snow blows all winter yearly, I did have to replace the motor 2 yrs ago, If it had an hr meter, It would be off the charts.

My god we need a big storm soon.  These posts are like the beginning of a cheesy romantic comedy…”the underlying smell of the metallic snow”. “the sound of snow blowers humming in the air as I gazed into her deep blue eyes”   I picture everyone gazing into the air with a warm smile.  It’s like the calm before the season’s melt downs begin.

Before I got the blower I bought, I was looking on craigslist for what you have. Seems to be the easiest way to do it.

It is easy, My only regret was i never bought the enclosed cab for it when they were still available and i have never been able to find one that would fit right.

Saw this video on FB from Bretton Woods today... what a scene.  Another Alex in BW?

Definitely had a good snow event yesterday there.  Probably one of the snowiest looks I've seen from any inhabited area in New England from that event.

I know that guy. See him alot during the winter. Owns a Presidential View Condo.

Yea, that's a tough task at Jay Peak.  Most driveways around here are gravel too..a good cold winter and it may just be hard packed snow for months on the driveway.

Sand is free at our town DPW.   Those years where the driveway turns to glacier, I adjust very well to sanding and salting and you just accept things as they are.

I also would not want to live next-door to the guy who obsessively leaf blows his lawn every weekend from Labor Day to Thanksgiving.
