Snowy Fri pm

Despite a frontal wave developing downstream of the region
across coastal ME, robust mid level negatively tilted low
tracking over northern MA, will likely result in some comma
head snow showers in the afternoon. Column cold enough to
support snow showers all areas away from the south coast. Will
have to watch this evolving comma head, especially its southward
extent, as there could be sufficient forcing for ascent and
moisture to result in minor snow accumulations across northern
MA into northern CT, northwest RI, especially hilly terrain per
latest HREF.

Euro actually likes NE Ma tomorrow.

So does 06z nam. Late tomorrow PM and tomorrow evening id be surprised if there weren’t at least a lot of snow showers around but a steadier band up in NE MA wouldn’t surprise me. That’s a really strong and rapidly deepening ULL.

I think they’ll be a lot of flakes in the air. Was hoping 00z nam stuff was real, but probably a little too far south for the good stuff.

Watch up north for upslope, watch down south for late coastal, watch everywhere for Monday!

Morning AFD from GYX has snow in the mountains and the more significant precip east of the mts in the Capitol and Midcoast areas.  Seems to skip over a part of Maine I think to be significant.  (P&C looks somewhat more logical.)
At this juncture I think south & coast with the better odds for Monday, with plenty of cold air available, lots of upslope.
