Tim from Springfield (IL)
If it's OK, I think tomorrow's severe and heavy rain threats now warrants its own thread. Will be interesting to see this afternoon's Day 2 Update. Wouldn't be surprised if most of MO eventually goes MDT tomorrow. Overlooked in the midst of tomorrow's ENH for MO and W IL (with hatched TOR possibilities in C/S MO) is that the same areas may get an early start on the severe tonight into early tomorrow. Marginal from Springfield, IL westward for tonight with Slight in the north half of MO into Eastern KS:https://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/outlook/day1otlk.html Threat may continue into Monday for the far eastern portion of the sub. Slight for S OH with marginal extending south and east: https://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/outlook/day3otlk.html

Chicago Storm
New Day 2 mentions possible upgrade to Moderate.Based on how things look currently, that would be overzealous. We’ll see how things evolve.

Chinook
I am going to post these because it may be the last interesting day to post updraft helicity tracks for the Midwest for the year. There seems to be some agreement on the updraft helicity tracks in central IL, but my own idea is that the higher tornado threat might be SE Missouri.
Malacka11
I'm gonna wait to see how things look for W IL tomorrow. the three hour drive to Springfield is much more appealing than the six hour drive to Jefferson City.
IMADreamer
Sun is trying to come out here in West Central Il. Temp has rebounded some now as well, closing in on 70.
Indystorm
Tornado watch issued till this evening for almost all of Missouri and west central Illinois. Confirmed tor heading nw of St. Joe Missouri already. I will probably keep posting in this thread rather than central since the storms will be moving east later today. This first line approaching the Mississippi river right now looks meh as of now.

I agree that a northward turn for you at some point is probably the good play. Ride the warm front to the triple point.
Malacka11
Please excuse any spelling mistakes I'm using voice to text. I'm only about half an hour away from the line which is why I'm worried about getting stuck behind it by accident. The two shows north of i-72 look fairly decent but there's some pretty big cells farther down the line as well so I could just engage those instead
Indystorm
Loss of daylight will be a problem as the second line approaches.

It's Always Sunny
Starting to heavily doubt any tornadic potential in SE MO. Mesoanalysis showing capped surface layer where models had it uncapped earlier. If anything develops there ahead of approaching squall line it'll likely be elevated. Indystorm
Those cells north of US 36 have been rather consistent with rotation and occasional tornado touchdowns this afternoon.
Malacka11
The biggest downside of today is that since I left Aurora consistently the entire time there has been cloud cover less than 100 ft from ground level. Closing ground on that one massive cell in Central Missouri. Figured I made it this far might as well send it
