Why Ray confused?  It was in the low/mid 70s all weekend.  Gorgeous weather for outdoor activities.

I think he got the hose again . Cloudy and wet and cold there north of the front . I’ll take a sunny weekend around 70 and a wet Monday / Tuesday over a ruined weekend of kids noses mashed against the window looking at bird baths collecting rainwater

Glad we past that stage.  Empty nesters 90% of the time now.

Had to dig some holes today for posts and they all filled with water immediately. Tons of groundwater here right now. No drought in Randolph.

I'm having someone excavate for a detached garage foundation next week. My fear is it's going to fill with water. Might have to run a trench out to grade to drain it off but that would screw up our driveway.

I was really surprised by how quickly the holes I dug filled up. Swamp-like. Lot of water in New England this summer.

The water tables are at ground level. It’s why lawns will be growing and need to be mowed well into November. North to south . I saw a post today in the lark thread where a confused poster thought they had done their last mowing
