BretWx
Any reports out of Atlanta? Radar shows they flipped to snow.
WxKnurd
Went to town, roads were a mess when I first left but the big plow trucks finally got to 209 when I headed back. Russ Ave in Waynesville was a wreck an an 74 wasn’t too hot either. Had heavy snow driving up into the mountains at the house but that must of been the tail end of this opening act as it’s just flurries now. Whiteout conditions due to wind down low around the pastures with no wind break when I first left. 6-7” readings throughout, 6.5” on my deck rail that is serving as my “official” board. Want to make a run at a foot if this backside stays juices and swings through just right but I think 8-10” looks like a strong possibility at least. 27 over 25.5 currently here.

NavarreDon
That dry slot seems to be filling in. Interesting seeing the SW flow of moisture swing through in eastern GA http://synoptic.envsci.rutgers.edu/site/radimg/anim_nrc.gifThat’s a great view! It gives a good look at what’s to come! . ncjoaquin
I had to walk down to my mom's house. Man, that is deep snow! It is sleeting here now. Looking forward to going back to snow.
wxduncan
Have changed over to sleet now in Valdese. Went out and did 7 different measurements we got just over 6 inches here in Valdese(Burke County). So I'm happy now we see how much sleet and zr we get. Fun times for sure.
FlatLander48
Pouring snow in Boone now. Still not a ton on the ground but looks like the heaviest is coming in now. Saw a Toyota Solara driving in the snow, that’s a first for me seeing that.

WNC_Fort
Really hope we transition back to snow here in Brevard. Can definitely already see how the sleet is cutting into the snow especially on the trees/bushes.

BretWx
Short term models not handling the Low transfer well IMO. Looks like cold air is already trying to push back down in the Upstate.
