I was on the other side of 302 as the foliage train passed over Willey Brook Trestle Saturday.  I was in and out of fog with rain falling.  Not to give the Rev more ammo, but it was surprising how green the notch still was.

That is an amazing shot. Are you on Instagram? Would love to post it with proper credit!

Nice man!  I think we are at peak up here or close to it if you like any green in it.  It’ll be all orange washed soon.

It is insane that Mother Nature puts this show on every year. Maybe the tree species mix in VT or something but every single tree stands out brightly.  Reds are incredible.

Yes. I'm a new subscriber! :) Well at least Bretton Woods Vacations is. And BTW - just putting a plug out there, one of our clients manages it and we do have some pretty sweet pictures on it, @brettonwoodsvacations

Seems to be near peak here. Mostly yellow and orange with some reds mixed in. Not as many fiery reds this year it seems. Every year is probably a little different based on a million different variables. Some seriously deep oranges erupting now. The weather is finally clearing enough to get some better shots. We will take the camera out tomorrow and try to get something representative. It pisses me off that I can't seem to ever get a picture that really captures what I am seeing.

Dude this shot from Barnes Camp is insane!  The boardwalk, marsh, fog, Notch… you’ve got to be kidding me.  That’s print worthy for sure.

Also the drone must be about directly over the 1,500ft Barnes Camp Snowstake, ha.  But what a shot!

Thank you and yeah I think this is my top one for this season! It is 2 or 3 frames stitched together.

With all the elevation available, you get to see an extended peak as the change moves downhill.  :D

Colors here are about average, meaning beautiful, and though the trees around the house are typically short on reds there's a better than usual amount of those hues this year.  The sequence I hope never to repeat came in my first year on the forum, 2005.  That year the leaves were about half changed going into the holiday weekend, which was 2 days earlier than this year's.  On Oct 7-9 we had nearly 6" RA with gales, stripping half the leaves off the big (still mostly green) oak and essentially everything else.  The year without a peak.

Peak foliage color in Southern Vermont yesterday in Londonderry,  Bondville and West Dover. It's about 7-10 days behind last year,  but better quality.  South of the Massachusetts line isn't all that pretty heading home via Route 112 and the Mohawk Trail, Route 2. Surprisingly,  the Connecticut River Valley around Brattleboro is near peak.  Usually it's green.
