It's been so warm that upper 30s seems cold. Hard to believe 2 years ago around this time we were down in the mid 20s and low 40s for highs

it's scary how we get used to warm weather.  There are benefits.....we'll pay much lower heating costs and that's going to be really good this year with inflated prices.

Let the rich people get the cold weather, they can afford it this year lol

last year had the warmest Nov on record after the first freezing morning in October since 1988...1975 did the same thing...then it got very cold for six to seven weeks...That probably wont happen this year but a repeat of last year I'd sign up for...

just look at some of the winters we've had after a very late first freeze....2009-10 is on that list

were 1997-98 and 1998-99 the lowest snow total we ever had over a 2 year period?

1996-97 to 1998-99 might have been the lowest snow total we ever had over a three year period and if it wasn't for 2000-01 the snow drought would have lasted right through 2001-02.

2001, 2006 and 2011 didn't have their first freeze until after December?

Are centipedes dangerous at all?  I saw a 4 inch long one with a white stripe down its middle in my bathroom last night and freaked out (I guess the cold weather brought it in?)  I killed it but I didn't know it was dead until this morning.

Also saw a mouse streak across my floor.....just great.....now the glue traps have to come back out.

omg yes!  nightmares are coming back lol

it looks much smaller after it died though

I was up most of the night because after I hit it with a bar of soap I saw it fell but had no idea where and when i woke up this morning I saw it was dead.  Thats happened before.....they must be easy to kill but if they fall in a place you can't see it makes you think they got away.

Those are house centipedes.  I had them in the basement of my old apartment. When I would go down to do laundry I'd sometimes see 3 or 4 of them. Hate those things but I'm pretty sure they're harmless
