I'll LOL for sure if Purdue wins today.

I’m not shocked. They run a remedial offense. Penn State would have trucked them had Clifford not gone down. I lost a lot of respect for Ferentz this past week too with his comments about the injuries. They got what they deserved.

Down to 58 I guess summer is gone.

I think Bubbler’s right — might not be any upper 70s or 80s with high dew points, but I’d bet we still have a few more warm days coming up.

For what it’s worth, I miss summer and the longer daylight hours too. I don’t know how old you are but one thing that helps a little is that the older (and busier, it seems) I get, the faster time seems to fly by. The holidays come and go quickly and then we just have to get through a few months, likely with some mild spring-like days scattered here and there throughout, and it will be mid-spring again before you know it.

Penn State was certainly in control last week. And agreed about Iowa getting what they deserved...I was a diehard Boilermaker today. lol

Uh oh, this morning’s low of 48 here might assure that I don’t even get one below normal departure out of this post-frontal pattern.

MDT should be close today.  HIA in full effect like usual.  3-5 degrees warmer than all the other reporting stations nearby.  This excludes Cap City which is always higher than anyone else it seems. MDT coming in higher than BWI. Its currently 48 degrees at Dulles and 55 at MDT.  Sheesh.

Near record cold for the MDT "Area" in a week on the GFS

This is the time of year where I start hating hauling spring water. Frozen valves and pipes, having to use a torch and/or hammer just to thaw out the frozen valves and end caps...ugh... :(

That is truly remarkable.

Abd who brings golf balls or bottles of mustard to a football game?

That's a great point. People take inventory of their homes prior to leaving for the big game and decide what they'll need inside the stadium. Gone are the days of grabbing the foam seat cushions and a light jacket. (okay, that was never me) Now we think about what we're going to use as projectiles.
