Ahoff
Also, the low this morning of 25 was actually pretty close to the record low of 21.

Looks like we have a chance at around 28 again tomorrow morning. The 1879 one was 5 days from 11/1-11/5, but we could tie 1966 for 2nd.

Ahoff
Ron Smiley said first accumulating snow this weekend. That's bold, but he said it so it's on him. 2

KPITSnow
Pitt game tonight....weather gods were on Pitt side as that narrow band of extremely heavy rain and wind rolled through right during UNC's OT possession.

Ahoff
Some of the short range models look good for measurable snow. I don’t know that I can buy it at this point.
Ahoff
First flakes in the books. Did see a very slight whitening of grassy areas and cars too.

Ahoff
I hope we'll get more of these clippers this winter. Been a while since we had a few in one winter. This is actually a good track, so with more cold air and colder ground temps, could be good in a few weeks.
TimB
It was always going to be a marginal event for p-type, and no one in their right mind was expecting any daytime accumulations, but the NWS made the decision to suddenly go with all snow in the grids for most of Allegheny County this morning after carrying a rain/snow mix in all of its prior forecast packages. That was a bold move and I’d say it busted.

jwilson
Had a nice white rain all day, but nothing stuck, so the winter scenery was lacking a tad. Good to see some snow, though.
