It was not as warm here today as I thought.  Maybe I have seen all of these warm maps, and just got ahead of myself.  Neighbor of mine had his fireplace going all day pretty much.

I just looked at it. I am rooting for it here! lol If nothing else, it has been consistent for sure.

Last week Saturday, we recorded 78 as a high at TRI.  Yesterday, we had snow on the ground IMBY.  After tracking two winter wx events during this past week, we take a break for a few days.   Today has been a soggy and cool day which is typical of many, many Januarys.

Sunday night my location East Brainerd, Chattanooga got a half-inch or even close to an inch. It was sitting atop the grass. Kids were able to build a decent size snowman though.

I did not post an ob in the storm thread because I'm three blocks from @dwagner88 and even in fickle East Hamilton Co that's close enough to have matching obs. If he posts I generally will not duplicate.

Oh yeah also took snow matters into my own hands. Skied West Virginia atop 6-8 inches of new snow. Once in a while the Mid Atlantic puts together a Western/Rockies type weekend. It. was. sweet!

Ski location WinterPlace right off I-77, knowing Interstates would be cleared quickly.

Rain and sleet in Kingsport. Temp is 37, no where near the 49 forcasted high. Wonder if this bodes well for quicker changeover in the a.m.?

Light snow mixing in with the rain now.  I’m not sure what the gfs got ahold of yesterday but it’s snowfall output on this system is laughable to say the least! Maybe at least we can get an hour to watch it fall this AM.

I had a few crappie at 5 AM (sadly none were regulation keepers), but mostly big old fat rain drops.

I was just wondering if anyone was getting any upslope moisture. One of the coldest frontal passage during the day time for me this winter.

There's a few flakes falling here. I'm in town right now so not sure what's going on at home. Looking towards Cross Mtn I'd guess that there's a steady snow above 2000ft. I've seen it evaporate down to flurries like this when it's snowing higher up plenty of times.
