hawkeye_wx
I was hoping for more widespread heavy rain, but the line had weak spots and it moved through quickly. I'll have to be satisfied with 0.51". Hopefully, October will be a bit wetter across the region.
cyclone77
Nice to hear thunder again, as it's been a very rare commodity this year. Picked up 0.47" of rain this evening.
Torchageddon
My overnight low was 20ºC which I have never seen this late except perhaps that hot spell in mid-late Sept 2017. I only had 20C+ minimums 3 times during this whole summer.
Brian D
Picked up 0.81" of rain (0.76" arpt) bringing us just above normal for the month. More Canadian geese on the move recently, but nothing big. Small flocks moving around. Canadian weather not bad enough yet to get them moving hard. IWXwx
The area's rainfall forecast maps look like an advisory level snow forecast except it's inches of rain.

sojitodd
Lots of rain. The most this year with some minor street and yard flooding. It seems odd to get this much heavy rain and for it to seem so cool and to not have a hint of thunder. Over two inches of rain in about 4 hours so far... sojitodd
Well I wanted rain and I got it. At the airport CMH is reporting less than an inch, while we have to be pushing 3 inches or so 20 miles west. Big cutoff in the rainfall as you move east across Central Ohio. Bless the cool air that has moved in! 1

Torchageddon
I'm up to 93mm or 3.66 inches of rain in the last 24 hours, likely the most I've ever documented imby within a 24h range. Forecast was showing 100mm today which is also a first, this is definitely the most substantial rain event I've experienced. I knew we were going to pay for those two days (which was last weekend) of cloudless warmth.

cyclone77
Blobs of severe drought showing up now in the area. Looks like Hawkeye's area in severe now, and Geo's old stomping grounds are in a desert wasteland now lol. Hopefully we can get some beneficial rains later in Oct, but plant/garden watering season is basically over so it won't really matter lol.

Meanwhile, 3 1/2" of rain imby and 5-6" in some areas in the past two days will wipe out the "abnormally dry" status in northeastern Indiana/northwest Ohio.
