Brian D
About 0.25" of rain early this morning (a little thunder mixed in too) with more on the way tonight. A very nice late summer day with temps in the upper 70's.

Brian D
Thunder train last night. Storms rolling through one after the other. Very warm, and muggy on the SW flow ahead of the front. 2.3" at the arpt, and 1.57" here in town. Some svr weather put down hail (3" hail size was reported just west of Duluth). Tornado watch was out for a while, but nothing developed. Here in town, normal rain is 3.53" for the month, so closing fast with 2.88" and more rains coming early next week. Still well below normal for the year, tho, with 6-7" of deficit.

Spartman
CMH and DAY both managed to sneak in a 90 this afternoon while CVG got 89'd. This'll be the last time to hit 90 for the year. Fall arrives on time next week. The 12z Euro is hinting a cutoff low for mid-to-late next week.

cyclone77
Hit 93 here today, 91 at MLI. Today was MLI's 31st 90 degree day of the year. Hoping for a decent rain tomorrow night, but looks like the band of convection will be on a decreasing trend when it arrives late eve. 1.50" here since late July. cyclone77
The 3km NAM shows a good 12hr period of lake effect showers pouring in off LM into northeast IL/northwest IN tomorrow night. Dews are hovering around 70 this morning. Looks like quite a stretch with dews in the 40s or even lower at times after today. Euro shows afternoon dews in the lower 30s Thursday here in the DVN cwa.
