Maybe there was some wind-blown debris in there that got blown out. My electric smoker got caught in a gust of wind and blew half way across my deck, something that hasn't happened in the year that we've been here. Bungies to the rescue! Guess we didn’t meet the criteria, but the trees are pretty much full of leaves still. And now that that first heavy rain band has moved through, the winds have shut off. .40” so far. Kevin Reilly Posted October 31, 2021 Share Posted October 31, 2021 Media Delaware County picked up 1.10” in 30 minutes a few flashes of lighting one was a strike fairly good boom of thunder followed by lightning streaking across the sky. But ended up getting 0.14" on top of the earlier 0.29 for 0.43" for yesterday, and then got another 0.16 on the other side of midnight for a 3-day event total of 1.54". I would think if this were later December or January we would be enjoying a dynamic situation where the main storm was mainly wind and rain off the Atlantic followed by a quick dumping of snow for some last night with more of an inverted trough look. It had cleared out overnight and this morning (when I had popped out early this morning, it was completely clear with the stars easily visible).
