Snowlover11 Posted September 2, 2021 Share Posted September 2, 2021 major flooding here in yonkers, a couple roads are completely flooded, and a bridge over the saw mill river had about 1 of foot on it, made it safely to work, even my work lot had major flooding at the bottom of it. The mall gets dicey water-wise even during routine rain storms. The drainage in there has never been good. The Ramapo and Pequannock meet in Pompton Lakes which then flows into Wanaque reservoir. When the dam opens it sends water downstream into Pompton Lakes. The Ramapo then flows into the Pompton River which floods Pequannock, Pompton Plains, Wayne and Lincoln Park. The Pompton ends at the Passaic River at two bridges road. It takes quite awhile for the Passaic to get all of the water. Two bridges is less than a mile from Williwbrook mall.
