Absolutely wild how little rain has come down in the past three weeks in Coastal Monmouth between Long Branch and Squan.

Im not sure how correct that radar is, on the south shore of Nassau County we've been getting sporadic heavy tropical rains for 10-15 min each for the past hour and a half or so.

wind picking up a bit in the Poconos, nothing crazy, but gusts 20-25 blowing the rain around. Approaching 2" here. Rates are moderate so the property flooding hasnt gotten much worse, still ponding everywhere, but nothing crazy yet.

You can see the precipitation so starting to expand and move east on radar so we should start seeing heavier rain/storms over the next 2-3 hours in the immediate NYC metro.

1.69 so far here in Orange County, Ny

The way the radar is looking we will give the 5-6” of forecasted rain a good shot.

I don't think there is a question the HV will be in the in 5-6 inch range, some spots may get even more. Up here in Dutchess county where I am 20 miles north of 84 it's been raining all day and approaching 2 inches. Main event I suspect will be 8pm-1am, something like that.

Agree with the main event later on. The only good thing is it’s past commuting time. Hopefully there won’t be too many road closures or people stranded on the roadways.
