@dendrite Looks like since our nor'easter, but Davis is acting up. I notice my rain gauge was intermittently picking up rainfall. It would not register one minute, and then another minute it said I had a rain rate of 82"/hr lol. Also, my dewpoint is always matching my temp. That seems to be in error too. Have you ever heard of that?

LOL. Who?? Making me feel old. For the younger folks,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Burleson

The infield during his time was George Scott, Remy, Burleson and Hobson. All in one way or another larger than life in the Boston sports conscience with exception of The Rooster.

Burleson was a darned good shortstop.    George Scott was Boomer, Butch Hobson was always injured...lol.

When Burleson tore his rotator cuff in August (IIRC) 1978, it began the Sox' disaster that ended with Bucky Dent.  Of course, correlation isn't causation.

How rigid is the pole?  Those crazy rates could be associated with the whole thing shaking back and forth in the wind.  Also a chance the little circuit that measures the tips is failing or that you had some debris stuck in there.

you are correct about The Rooster's torn rotator. I will be always scarred by that collapse - I think it is unexplainable given the level of hatred between the Sox and the yankees.

My memory of Butch Hobson a few years later is his errant throws to first base from third. Just looked this up, maybe it wasn't a few years later!! His elbow was junk.

In 1978, Hobson hit 17 home runs with 80 RBIs. However, he posted 43 errors, the most for any American League fielder in that season, and his .899 fielding average also was the first below .900 by a regular player in 60 years.

This actually occurred the other night with little wind. I was thinking debris as well. I'll have to take a peak. I figured out the dewpoint issue. It was on wind chill

He played all year with bone chips in his elbow.

Correct. I liked Butch as a kid. Had that football mentality - played backup QB at 'Bama for the Bear.

I was looking for something about Rick Burleson's shoulder but couldn't find anything definitive about his rotator until the '82 season with the Angels. He was very durable but I remember him getting hurt - checked https://www.baseball-almanac.com/players/hittinglogs.php?p=burleri01&y=1978

he was out from July 10 thru July 27.

Ended up changing to a slightly larger unit. Literally everything in my house is electric, so should do the trick. Can’t hurt to have the extra juice.

Make sure you have someone who knows that they are doing to hook it up (@butterfish? haha). You rig it up improperly and you'll cause big issues and/or electrocution.

Sounds like bird droppings in the cone. A little will soak through at near steady intervals and then at some point the whole dookie falls through and the remaining water in the funnel empties at once.

Dookie or leafs    I thought the same, but then it stopped measuring. Maybe it's just water sitting in the cone now.

Nice, has remote start, just find a good dry spot to set it up and you're golden.

Make sure you get 5-10 5gal gas cans. I have a similar machine and it burns close to 1gal/hour. If I had to replace it I'd go with a Honda EU2200 which sips gas. Extra power means extra gas, figure out what you need to run and size accordingly.

Musk cracks me up , the way he plays with the market , questions the Tesla rally and says Hertz deal isn’t signed . The market is a one way clown show  ,inflate assets or die and then add more emergency intervention (shifting goal posts as to why it’s still ongoing) , bc you can’t just say the system is near the end of its life cycle

Musk knows this is all a simulation and he found the cheat codes. Ain’t no stopping him.

I don't find open and pervasive market manipulation, or outright fraud, all that humorous. He's long since wiped out short sellers; but it'll be the longs who will take an even bigger hit when this thing comes back to earth. I can't wait to see angry representatives scream at Gensler and Clayton about SEC incompetence/corruption at the congressional hearings in a few years.

Did you jump in on that bed, bath and beyond short squeeze?  Up 80% after hours lol.   wtf?

Really lol, this casino is so wild it’s nearly unbelievable that it’s real money

There has to be so much quasi fraud with options and these major moves that mint millionaires over nite , specifically regarding the short squeezes and the timing .

I’m Finally squared away on Binance and Coinbase

The charts of so many of these crypto’s are unbelievable. The amount of people who have taken 10 grand in the last year and rode it to 100-200K is definitely the highest on record . You just don’t see 2,000% annual returns , and how many crypto’s have done this last year .You just do not see these gains annually in any other year at this magnitude.

That’s just it though, there’s not a lot of regular Joe’s they can casually throw 10 or 20k at a meme coin like Shibu or whatever but the gains have been mind boggling.

I don’t have a lot of money to play with but whenever I can spare a few hundred dollars I  buy some top 20 crypto‘s.  I’m not getting rich but still making more than I would in stocks or a savings account.

Is it risky? Absolutely. However I do my research and generally stick with stuff in the top 20 of market cap.  I stay away from the meme coins even though some outrageous gains have come out of them.

I think Bitcoin and Ethereum are going to run again and drag the alts up but I’ll cash out once the FOMO is in full swing.  No need to get greedy.
So many people were saying it was too late to buy BTC when it hit 40k.  Lol

My feeling is that when this current cycle peaks we will probably see BTC somewhere close to 90k.  ETH over 6k.

The NFT and meta-verse projects like Sandbox will be the next avenue to make massive profits but I keep it simple and safe with US based account exchanges so I don’t get to play in that realm.
