Yep. Pretty potent line just went through there. Radar estimating over 2” around Hicksville/Westbury too.

I was on route 4 1-2 hours ago and there was lots of lightning and intense rain

If this thing does end up stalling like the NAM suggests, wherever those bands pivot and train over are gonna be in trouble… I think there’s at least a chance that happens over the island, which is where my comment about “severe flooding” from before came from

of course, it could also stall with the bands north of the Island as well

severe flooding already happening and constant lightning makes me worry about electrocution, we have water rescues ongoing

Absolutely pouring here and just witnessed a few CTG lightning strikes with house shaking thunder. I gotta admit, I underestimated this aspect of the storm. It's wild out there.
