At least we had recon not too long before landfall. IIRC back decades ago NHC didnt even run recon on NE storms above a certain latitude. Between that and overestimating FL winds that mixed down storms were kept at much higher intensities in advisories then they were in reality. Gloria was only a Cat 1 at landfall (although I am sure many people have the idea in their head it was stronger).

Definitely raw sewerage mixed in.....it's mostly combined sewers there. Same with lots of Worcester.  It's not just storm water when a manhole pops lol. 

Hope everyone in SNE brought in their potted tomato plants.

Well, it's a rapidly deteriorating core and a halfacane.

It looks to me that since it's moving nw, we will get a piece of the core for a short time, and then be in drier air with some wind.

I suppose I should define what I mean by "largely miss."
