We went out for dinner.  On the way home I passed a gas station with zero people at it.
I then stopped at the one I typically use to fill up and it was a zoo.  Very weird.  Several pumps were closed.
The two stations are within a mile of each other.

Stopped by local gas station, no gas, but they did have ice.

I'm surprised Henri doesn't have more hype. To me, a minimal hurricane in New England is like a major hurricane in Florida or the Gulf.

I understand what you are saying, but huge rainmakers with marginally gusty winds aren't the enthusiasts cup of tea. Of course marine interests and flooding will enjoy this one

Henri has started it's slight turn west of due north

Noticed that too, but be careful extrapolating too far out. These things have a tendency to wobble back and forth.

Flash flood warning now in Manhattan. FWIW, rain here is overproducing.

I've been following. Big rains there. Downright tropical downpours, no pun intended.

Inner core looking healthy. He's swinging hard in the 15th round.

Too little too late IMO. It may intensify a little but to me it's just a question of whether it can be steady state enough to not fall apart on final approach.

I wonder if it will just be similar to last years tropical twisty twist that came onshore with like 80 minutes of moderately heavy rain, and some 30 mph gusts.

I don’t want to undersell or underestimate though

Whatever gets the east side of this storm is gonna get some really nasty winds.  64 knots at the surface is no joke.
