(Hate it when that has to happen, especially during a Gulf storm.) So exciting! Almost a hurricane! Fred!!? Really?? 72 mph gust at St George Island, so far the best I've seen from the "new" Fred. Just to jump off topic here, briefly, Josh was never in a reporting capacity for TWC. They reached out to him while he was on his regular chase schedule for several hurricanes. The WN gig was their decision to contract him for work and he took it. Fred was not a normal chase. Additionally, Josh now lives on the Gulf coast during hurricane season for this very reason. He has a particularly great skill set that can be advantageous for any particular network coverage. Winds are definitely a little gusty, sideways rain. Lots of little debris down, hopefully my car outside will not have any issues. Predicted to get the most rains 1-3am I think. Yeah it looked threatening all day in Clearwater. Then went to a new upcoming job by the hard rock casino. It held that look for the biggest part of the day. Around Lakeland ran through some sprinkles. Just enough to cut the wipers on. But considering the orientation I was expecting something over the peninsula.
