Spartman
So much for July being the hottest time of the year in 2021. Even with all that wildfire smoke and rainfall, can it be worse for August?

WestMichigan
Based on the 925/850 mb temps we should see highs in the mid 80s Saturday and upper 80s for Sunday into Tuesday. There could even be a few values reaching 90. There are some indications that it will be even warmer for the middle part of next week. Similar to many of the above comments, GRR is thinking hot temps next week
purduewx80
Differential heating caused by the thicker smoke moving into northern Lower Michigan has helped focus thunderstorms over the cleaner air ahead of it. Had the smoke not been there, the lake breeze would likely have been the focus a little farther NW.
