Interesting that the same thing is happening today as it did yesterday. The electricity in the cell that clipped Burke yesterday was super impressive. CAPE
Disgusting out there. Easily the worst day of the summer here. Was outside staking out an area for excavation/tree removal for a new expanded parking pad, and drenched. Just walking in the woods and hammering in stakes. Took a shower and now sipping on a 120. Feel much better.

Looks like round two is coming in now.
Rhino16
Does anyone think these storms make it to the coast? I could use a cool off here, only had a small rumble tease of something that went to the North yesterday.

SnowtoRain
@CAPE what do we have to do to get some storms over here, 92 with 80% humidity not enough juice? Squeezed out 0.09" with that dying storm.

Nothing really to keep the convection going as it moves east with the loss of heating.

WEATHER53
Was just north of Urbana around 5 and worst was couple miles to south along 80 and then south down 270. Traffic lights out along 80 in business area and down 270 leaf splatter and broken limbs looked like 60 mph winds happened.

BlizzardNole
Whew boy it's a hot one in OCMD today -- 88/78 with hx 102 and a light west wind. I am hoping that swings around to S at about 10 mph and the temp will back off a little. Still nothing like when we used to go to Atlantic Beach, NC where it could be 92/78 at 9 pm
Harv_poor
Was one of these houses in the 7500 block of Salem? Curious because my wife saw on FB that the house of somebody she knows in Falls Church was hit by a falling tree. *********************************** I think I’ve seen enough to say that this was the biggest storm to hit my immediate neighborhood in decades (better than the derecho). I put an X on Salem (the NW one), but I didn't go over there to check. The Falls Hill one that we've been talking about was on Barbour.
