I guess the WB 18Z NAM did shift a little eastward, FFG is probably pretty low in parts of SE MoCo and Fairfax at this point. There's already renewed radar returns near Standardsville, Stafford/S of Manassas. Wouldn't take much to get flooding again. I don't think I've ever seen them issue a warning for NW Arlington. Here in Arlington we only have North and South Arlington (S. Arlington represent!). kgottwald Posted August 18, 2021 Share Posted August 18, 2021 Walking to work this morning, it felt like there was a waterlogged, moldy blanket wrapped around me from head to toe. Seriously unpleasant. Also, on some of the grassy areas between office building parking lots and the sidewalk, the in-ground sprinklers are still set to go off every morning at 5, no matter how much rain has fallen recently (also spraying the sidewalk rendering it temporarily unusable). I saw the blob of rain heading up 95 when I went to bed last night, but was surprised to see how much rain fell when I went outside this morning. I'm guessing we got 0.5-0.6" or so from that.
