The severe T-storm activity and associated convection went south of where most models seemed to have it. Kudos to the SPC for citing the area SW of NYC for the best shot at severe. Wasn’t too much of a surprise it took the decent rain with it.

I am watching live coverage of storm damage in Bucks Cty PA on the app for NBC 10.  It looks like a scene out of the Deep South.

I do not ever remember something like this in the region.  Last tornado of the night is only now moving off shore near Barnegat, NJ.

The damage paths from these tornadoes extend all the way SE from near me in the Allentown/Bethlehem area to the Trenton area and then across NJ.  There are places only a few miles from my location that have damage.  Mt. Holly is going to have an enormous job documenting all this.  It is conceivable that there could be 50 miles or more of verifiable tornado damage on the ground in their CWA.
