LVwxHistorian
I'm having a vivid memory of a storm that fizzled out big time after a forecast of (I think) 6 to 10 inches during my first year of high school in the Lehigh Valley. I still remember angrily looking out at the rain/snow from my first period Math class. Maybe March 1991, anyone remember this??
JTA66
I don't recall a March '91 bust. But if you were battling the rain/snow line in the Lehigh Valley, then maybe it was always forecasted as a rainer down this way, so I didn't pay any attention to it. What I do remember is those winters from 1987-88 to 1991-92 were pretty much snowless around here, except for an occasional nickel & dimer. PhiEaglesfan712
It was March 2001: https://www.nytimes.com/2001/03/07/nyregion/fickle-storm-no-blizzard-was-more-trouble-for-some-than-for-others.html I was in 7th grade. Saturday was the 3rd, and I remember the talk about the big storm. Here is a map of the potential storm snowfall on The Weather Channel:
