It’s 12:45. Storms are firing behind that first line, which is getting stronger as it moves east. I wouldn’t spike the football yet

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT HUDSON...QUEENS...KINGS...NEW
YORK (MANHATTAN) AND SOUTHWESTERN NASSAU COUNTIES...

At 1249 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Park Slope, or
near Flatbush, moving east at 35 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Jersey City, Jamaica, Flatbush, Freeport, Valley Stream, Long Beach,
Coney Island, Garden City, Lynbrook, Mineola, Woodmere, Westbury,
Rockaway Beach, Crown Heights and Kennedy Airport.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
