tdp146
Must of had some very localized cell that came over my area just before 6AM. Had a couple gusts over 50 and sustained in the 30s for about 10 minutes which is wild because my station is at a height of 23 feet but the house in general is sheltered from good wind readings. My two closest official stations at FRG and the mesonet at wantagh didn’t show it. However, two other weather flow stations within a mile of me had the same thing

Absolutely incredible at Jones beach right now. Swell just filled in to meet the strong offshores, the spray off the waves is going 100 feet in the air. Winds are too strong to surf currently

Gravity Wave
NYC is lucky Elsa ended up sliding a bit east like the CAMs suggested; otherwise it would still be pouring here. We got more than enough as it was.
uofmiami
Looks like I’ll end up with around 4” in Syosset and 5” in Muttontown when this is done shortly. Had stronger winds in Tuesday’s storms but I expected that.
