For Tippy (was Saying NHC makes borderline storms more now)

NHC talks about “record breaking” 2020 season and how technology change not climate change is responsible. . I.E they are more apt to name marginal systems now

Wasn’t the summer of ‘38 especially wet as well? Just sayin’

I was curious. Through the end of June at Concord...

Year Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Season
2021 1.89 2.72 1.45 2.86 2.99 1.29 13.2
1938 3.94 2.11 2.07 2.18 3.11 5.12 18.53

At Blue Hill...

Year Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Season
2021 2.32 5.68 2.17 4.89 5.6 2.2 22.86
1938 3.79 3.14 2.45 2.69 4.96 9.03 26.06

Certainly comparable though '38 was wetter. July and August of '38 added 10 more inches at Concord and 15 more at Blue Hill. That's a lot of rain.

A other half inch or so in the gauge (estimated from 20 yards) adding to the 0.30" recorded at 7 AM.  Might approach an inch or at least reach the 0.95" from Memorial Day weekend.  Nice slow soaker.

Nice. You guys definitely needed it up that way. Glad you’re getting some.
