GramaxRefugee
about 0.10" yesterday/last night from the entire Elsa thing. Also, one of the cicada-dead leaves blew off a tree. Reasonably pleasant morning however. 69f and blue sky.

coolio
Got more than 1" of water in about 30-45 mins. Enough to have the water come up on my stairwell drain. I want to say I got 1.20" but i didn't check how much elsa gave us last night. about .63, I think.
GramaxRefugee
Finally getting a bit of rain after about 30 mins of threatening. Had thunder and darkening to the west in the usual manner, then clouds and storm slowed way down. Looks like rain wall to my south. Edit 5:00; Legit T-storm now. Couple good CG hits out to my West. Sure did take its time to roll in.

nj2va
This storm had to dump at least an inch of rain in 15-20 minutes; it was a deluge. Side street is a river. NWS just posted a flood warning for DC/Alexandria/Falls Church/Arlington/Eastern FFX counties in NoVA.

GATECH
WOW, heaviest rain all year I think! I have never seen the ‘extreme’ rain rate on the weather flow tempest. .7inches in about 20 minutes not too shabby…drought cancel! Especially after my .15 from Elsa!

Reading reviews online that the haptic rain sensor overestimates and then smooths out after the fact to try and correct itself. True?

It seems to underestimate in my case, but I am good with the AI correction. My old Davis often got clogged so I would loose the data. On the whole I am happy with the Tempest, solid performance, zero up keep, more sensors than my old Davis which is fun (lightening and UV).
