NorthArlington101
Can’t recall the last time I was in two severe warnings in the same day, but separated by a significant amount of time.Think some spots east of the Beltway might get their third warning today, if I’m remembering right. Very similar experience, my dad thought it was a good time to go on a run five minutes before it happened because according to him they always blow over us, he got drenched. Also even if there is no tornado there is some nasty straight line velocities. Looked like an apocalypse pretty crazy.

Starting to get sticky in here. 2.28” per the tipping bucket including a 13” rate which I can’t recall seeing before. Took a quick drive around, lots of branches down, but I didn’t see any whole trees. Streets are littered with: 1) leaves from cicada damage, and 2) actual litter because it is trash day tomorrow. CAPE
Just some light to moderate showers here overnight. Some light rain falling now. Grand total of 0.70" for the 'event' so far. Probably a bit more due to the sideways rain in yesterday's storm. iweathernet hi-res shows 0.87" over my yard. With the front in the area and the upper low still to the NW, there will probably be a few scattered storms today.
