Late June Heavy Rain/Severe Threats

Model guidance suggests that the low-level jet will
strengthen considerably during the evening, with forecast soundings
showing very favorable hodographs for supercells capable of very
large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes. Considered adding
at 10% tornado threat area, but will defer to 20z update when
eventual position of the boundary is better defined.

Storms are expected to congeal into a bowing complex through the
evening, affecting portions of north-central MO with the threat of
rather widespread damaging winds and hail.

Just got done sweeping up all the seedpods on my property and clearing out the drains.  Last summer when we got that torrential flash flood in Chicago, I had neglected to sweep up debris and my husband and I spent hours out in the rain clearing the drain over and over again to keep water from backing up into our basement.  Hoping for a bit less rain all at once this time!

Fell apart as it neared me as well, was looking forward to some thunder and lightning. Might not get anything more than a few sprinkles. SPC trimmed back the hatched winds on the eastern extent. As late in the day as it is and been heavy cloud cover all day, thought they would trim the slight back to the MS River.

.02” today. Killing it.

Mother drought gets angry when people proclaim her end.  Just kidding.  Multiple opportunities on the horizon but I do think it's possible that some area underwhelms a bit... like 2" spread out over 5 days or something.

historically then move east then turn ESE missing me just south

watching the WWA arm though for training over me

I wouldn't take it to the bank but it seems like a favored corridor could be near you, me or both of us.
