The funny thing is I remember several conversations in the western PA thread about how PBZ’s forecast discussions are often lacking in comparison to CTP and others. I’m surprised they threw a “joke” in there, no matter how cheesy.

Blizzard of 93
MDT had a high of 77 today and recorded .35 of rain. It is nice to start a month with below normal temps and above normal precip.
Blizzard of 93
I also noticed that the record high at MDT for today’s date was 107 way back in 1966.

Storm Clouds
Hey guys! Can you help me out? I have been vacationing down in Central Florida the past 2 weeks. I would like to do a day trip to the Clearwater Beach area one last time tomorrow. I want to go shelling! It looks like impacts from Elsa will be minimal down here until Tuesday. Would I be right to think that?

Would I be right to think that? Cursory glance looks like it’ll be fine most the day - storms prob move in in the afternoon as whatever Elsa is approaches. She’s not much of a storm right now.

MAG5035
All the local fireworks backyard and otherwise this evening actually made a noticeable impact on the Air Quality monitor here with the combination of Altoona being in a valley and a bit of a temp inversion with some mostly clear skies and cooling tonight, trapping all the smoke and etc and making it pretty hazy here right now. The PM2.5 really shot up after dark. Edit to add a current outside pic (3 sec exposure)
