Usually those 2 months are warmer than June/July, at least the last few years. Yep, sorry I mean the rest of Canada. Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Winnipeg ect.. normally all see the first 40F in August and then 32F in early September. Calgary tends to see a snowstorm every few years (3-6") in September

This helped weaken convection with the initial line, however mesoscale guidance shows a secondary line of storms developing along this boundary this afternoon. With wind shear still in place, there could be a second round of strong to severe storms along and to the south of this boundary. How strong depends in large part how much destabilization occurs behind this initial outflow during this afternoon. A Severe Thunderstorm watch remains in effect for the cwa Well, they dropped the watch for the S Shore...

Just wait until cali gets a 8.5 earthquake. People seem to have forgotten than cali is wildly overdue for an absolutely catastrophic quake. Back in the 80s and 90s I feel like it was all people talked about. Now you never hear a peep. It’s going to be a massive wake up call for some. I predict it; along with major water shortages….will initiate the next major migration out of the state.

My guess is Vort was just hoping to keep this a forum where there isn't political discussion about heated topics (no pun intended ) that easily cause discourse. I understand your point as well. But there is a reason the two separate forums were created. Seems like a legitimate request in being respectful to all our members and guests.
BuffaloWeather
I could put in other forum but I feel like that one is for off topic. Climate change is related to weather and like to keep it here.

That and the crime / homeless problems in parts of Cali, which has already started some flight. They'll be thankful they did when the big one hits and part of Cali slides off into the Pacific as a new island (remember when that was a big fear porn topic years ago? Seems quaint now). I always thought the talk of part of California sliding into the Pacific was tongue in cheek. What would it take for that to happen, a magnitude 25 quake? (Don’t forget the Richter scale is logarithmic).

My aunt works for untapped so she gets first dibs on a lot of new beers/selzters so she dropped off bunch last week before she went back to Charlotte. Been testing them out and rating them on app for her.

Syrmax
From KBGM...this is completely unacceptable. Do better: Anomalously cool air will continue to advect into the region ahead of Canadian high pressure Friday evening. A mostly clear sky and very dry air mass will promote radiational cooling as well, especially in sheltered valleys where winds will decouple. This will start the weekend off with near record daily lows in the mid 40s to lower 50s by dawn. Despite a good amount of sun Saturday, the cool air mass will only warm into the upper 60s to mid 70s for highs. Clouds will start to increase in the afternoon, especially in Central New York; associated with warm air advection aloft.
