Good question, some met or weather guy in New England named Stein that can see a drought around every corner.

Yeah, I've checked on that because we've been seeing lightning to the south since it got dark. Looks like a centipede working it's way to South Jersey. CoolHandMike
Checking random PWS around my parent's house under that storm last night shows about .9" of precip, so not bad for them.

Hurricane Agnes
After a low of 71 this morning, am currently partly sunny and 91 with dp 68 (so the "cool" front did a little bit to take the dews out of the mid-70s).
Newman
Cooler stretch incoming to start August as a massive PNA spike will subsequently produce lower heights downstream and a NW flow across the NE. Fall is coming and I can't wait!

Hurricane Agnes
Looks like 91 was my high for the day and it's currently mostly sunny and down to 89, but the dp took a nice plunge and has been bopping between 57 & 58. To have 35% humidity in late July is a bonus.

CoolHandMike
Forum's quiet today, just like the weather. On track to hit 90+ for the third day in a row here, but at least it's slightly less humid than it has been.

Summer is pretty boring weather wise unless T-storms/tropical systems are around....it's just boring repetitive lazy/hazy days w/nothing to talk about. 88F / DP 67F
Newman
As I talked about yesterday, the PNA spike will result in downstream troughing across the Eastern US. The Euro and GFS both have some sort of coastal storm (weaker as of now) as a rather strong upper level jet streak will likely introduce cyclogenesis in the right entrance region along the coastline. It's very similar to something you'd see in winter, not as often in July/August as it's tough to get troughing all the way down to the Gulf Coast.

Holly for our area about that - After what happened just over a week ago with that straight-line winds/hail event, this is something that will definitely be helpful. As an obs - my low this morning was 69 and I did briefly tap 93 just after 1 pm today. It's currently mostly sunny and 91 with dp 68. You can feel the heat but it's not quite soupy (although the humidity is a touch higher than yesterday). 1
JTA66
So I guess we can expect "First Destruction Alerts" from Ch10 and "Accu-Destructo Alerts" from Ch6. Up to 92F so far, only made it to 89F yesterday. Looks like today will be our last 90's for awhile (thanks for posting the weather porn, Newman!).

I don't think I've ever experienced 2.75" hail or 80mph winds... 91F / DP 68F
