NorthHillsWx
Anyone know how to get climate data from Franklin County airport? Our farmer up there says it’s the driest spring he’s ever had and it literally didn’t rain in April and they had just 1 thunderstorm in may. They have been unable to plant this year without irrigation
FLweather
Looking at radar tonight and what is depicted on the models as far as a potential tropical cyclone. There is a weak area of LP over the GOM around and west of Tampa/Clearwater.

magpiemaniac
June’s rain gauge is still stuck at 3.62”. Dry as a bone for the last several days. Maybe we can get something out of this tropical cyclone by Sunday or Monday if it’ll ever get its act together.

I’m really banking on the Euro, everything else essentially dissipates the low and drives any rain south and east of North Carolina. Per the GFS, our only rain chance in next 10 days would be some afternoon storms one day with the frontal passage. These 2-3 week gaps in any rainfall are not ideal
marsman
93.9F in Cary. High clouds bringing a sun halo.
yotaman
Hit 91 today and with the dew point in the mid 70's and a stiff, hot breeze, felt really miserable out there. Currently it has cooled down a bit and is now 85/73.
jpbart
0.87 in the old rain bucket this morning, not too shabby. Sun has appeared for a bit and we have a chance for a bit more. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads.

magpiemaniac
A muggy 75 right now. While sitting in church, I received a notification from my station that a cell was over the house. Managed 0.20” from it. I’m at 3.83” for June.

jpbart
Ip over an inch but it’s pouring too hard to go read the rain gauge to get a more accurate estimate. I can hear my grass and bananas sucking up the moisture and growing.

magpiemaniac
As expected, today’s precipitation has been to my south. The single 0.20” cell this morning was the only rain I saw. Tuesday will be my sole chance this week for additional rain.
Avdave
Claudette is starting to pull more ENE so Im thinking we will not get more here. WE will see. So far .98" for the day. 5.12 for the month
jpbart
2.27 in the bucket this morning, pretty good haul. Damage minimal as far as I can tell, had few strong cells roll through yesterday but made it through ok.

I was never counting on much for tomorrow. After living here for 5 years I now know never to count on a frontal passage to bringing a nice rainfall here. Its so damn scattered when the fronts roll though. You arent that far behind us here, a little over an inch and some. It could always be worse
NorthHillsWx
Picked up 0.67” overnight. 1.71” is going to be our total from Claudette. 5.48” on the month, pretty dang happy overall, wish the rain was more consistent but decent total with more than a week left in the month
