That’s the most rain I’ve had in one day since May 4. I hope that we all start seeing a sustained pattern of afternoon storms to help get us out of this drought. Expand I realize that confirmation bias plays a roll in not noticing when big storms actually do work in our favor, but, man, there’s nothing more frustrating than when you’re in desperate need of rain and a huge cell rips in two as it approaches and then rejoins after it passes you. yotaman Posted June 8, 2021 Author Share Posted June 8, 2021 Picked up .21" in a brief but very heavy downpour. Was out walking my Husky when it hit. Nothing showed on radar when we left and sky didn't look threatening at all. Rain popped up 10 minutes after we left the house and we both got soaked.
